Denihan’s three generations of family leadership and deep team of experienced top-level executives hailing from decades of global hospitality are focused on profitable hotel operation by taking an individualized, tailored approach to managing each asset – the Company understands that each asset and each situation are different.

Denihan operates or licenses hotels and residences under one of its four world-class boutique brands – The James, The Surrey, The Benjamin, and the Affinia Hotel Collection.

The Company also offers its big company experience, small company sensibility to other owners in providing third-party management services to independent and other hard and soft branded hotels.


Our Portfolio

The Denihan portfolio includes properties operating under The James brand and Affinia Hotel Collection, as well as Manhattan luxury independents, The Surrey and The Benjamin. Denihan’s hotels feature an impressive list of chef-driven restaurants and bars, including Celebrity Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s The National Bar and Dining Rooms at The Benjamin; Michelin-star Chef Daniel Boulud’s Café Boulud at The Surrey; and Chef David Burke’s David Burke Kitchen at The James New York - SoHo and opening soon, Scarpetta at The James New York - NoMad.

Expanding its portfolio, Denihan will open The James brand in Washington D.C. in 2020.
